Monica's Adventure in the Bamboo Thickets
Monica and I ventured through the dense bamboo thickets up to Kopan Monastery on the very edge of the Kathmandu valley. The lush greenery teemed with life and our glass beadwork bracelets sparkled in the dappled light.
Up and up, Monica skilfully climbed through her bamboo castle, wild and adorned.
Coming to a crumbling shack, an old woman told us that it was over one hundred years old. The wall was flaking off but it still felt like a home.
Then approaching a carpenters hut, we surveyed the road ahead.
And it was a quaint road populated by a heard of inquisitive goats who seemed like they wanted to eat Monica's colorful bangles and accompany us on our adventure.
And so they did, as Monica danced amongst them we headed back into the hustle and bustle of the city.
What a sweet adventure, I hope you enjoyed seeing some of rural Kathmandu and some of our latest designs!
